Why You Should Take Part

Frequently Asked Questions
During the study, you’ll be randomly assigned either the investigational drug or a placebo. Medical regulatory authorities haven’t approved this developmental drug or deemed it an effective skin lupus disease treatment. However, this trial is designed to study its potential efficacy compared to the placebo, which is an inactive medicine designed to appear like a developmental drug to participants.
Each participant will have a two in three chance to receive the trial drug; for every three participants, two will receive the drug, and one will receive the placebo.
There is no cost to participate in NTCCR’s subacute cutaneous lupus study. In fact, you’ll be reimbursed for all study-related expenses, such as childcare, traveling, accommodations, and more. If you have questions or concerns about perceived costs, don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our team.
